Scout Active Support
Scout Active Support
If you are over 18 you can join a Scout active support Unit. These are a large part of the “backbone” of the Scout Movement – supporting young people and voluntary leaders wherever help is needed. All Units provide ‘active support’, whether it is physical, mental, geared to a particular technical skill or general support. It could be as a badge examiner, a Training Adviser to new leaders, catering for courses, running pioneering courses, assisting with hill walking, rock climbing or anything else that would support Scouting. We all have something to offer as far as supporting Scouting is concerned whatever our age or ability. In fact, active support means just about anything! 4th Worcester Park are lucky enough to boast the largest Group based Active Support Unit in the country with an age range from the early 20's to the early 90's! We have different abilities and skills and can usually be found helping out at group events, enjoying our regular monthly programme or a new activciy that has taken our fancy! How do I join The Scout Active Support? If you want to actively support Scouting by joining the Scout Fellowship please e-mail fellowship(at)4wp.org.uk with your contact details. |
