| Senior Residents' Party Sunday 14
December
Every year the Group invites senior residents from the local community, or with connections to the Group, to an afternoon of entertainment and games plus afternoon tea. The Mayor of Sutton was also in attendance and spent time chatting to our guests and members of the Group. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers provided a variety of entertainment which was held together by Dave our inimitable compare. Everyone seemed to have a good time and thanks were freely handed out by our departing guests. The Group also made a donation to the Mayor of Sutton for a local charity. |
| Christmas Bazaar Saturday 6th December
2003
Despite Santa being delayed slightly by, we believe, congestion in the Greenland area the Christmas bazaar was once again the place to be to pick up some bargain presents and get into the Christmas spirit. It was refreshing to see children queuing for our new 'Secret Room' which assisted them in obtaining and preparing a present to GIVE to someone. Our thanks once again to Jenny for taking on the very difficult job of managing the Bazaar and raising a record breaking profit of over £1,500. Thanks also to all helpers, old and new from various parts of the Group for their help in making the event happen. |
| Grand Auction Saturday 8th November

Over 350 lots for sale and the hall full with some buyers standing. The event contributed around £1,000 to Group funds. Special thanks to Terry for organising the event again, and to Tom for running it on the day. Thanks also to the large team of helpers without whom the event could not have been run. |
| Fireworks Saturday 1st November 2003
