Explorer Scouts

Explorers are from 14 – 18years. With the support, direction and guidance of Unit leaders, Explorer Scouts are encouraged to design their own programme and work towards the top awards that Scouting offers.

They have the opportunity to go camping, hill walking , mountain climbing and expeditions both at home and abroad, as well as participating in other adventurous activities. Explorers also have the opportunity to be a part of The Young Leaders’ Scheme which develops their leadership skills and sense of responsibility, by helping to the leaders of the younger sections.

Explorer Scout Sections are called Units.

  • Worcester Park Explorer Scout Unit meet on a Tuesday at 7.30 until 9.30.
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
