Beaver Scouts

Ages 6–8

Beavers are the youngest members of the Scout Group, and for many young people they are the beginning of their Scouting adventure.

Our Beaver programme is all about fun, friendship, discovery and trying new things. Beavers take part in a wide range of exciting activities where they can learn new skills, build confidence and explore the world around them.

They are introduced to the outdoors through activities and adventures, while also having plenty of opportunities to get creative, explore their local community, work together and make new friends.

Beavers can also take part in sleepovers, giving them the chance to experience staying away from home in a safe, friendly and supportive environment — often one of their first big Scouting adventures!

Our Beaver Colonies

A Beaver section is called a Colony, and the smaller groups within a Colony are called Lodges. The names come from the beaver itself, with a lodge being the place where beavers live.

At 4th Worcester Park, we have three Beaver Colonies:

• Aspen Colony — Mondays, 5:00pm–6:15pm
• Birch Colony — Tuesdays, 5:30pm–6:45pm
• Cedar Colony — Fridays, 5:30pm–6:45pm

Each Colony offers the same great Scouting experience, with a programme designed to help our youngest members have fun, make friends, gain confidence and discover new adventures.
