Scouts

Scouts are from 10 – 14 years old. The aim is to build and develop young people’s confidence and sense of adventure.

They can take part in expeditions, camping, caving and water sports. They learn how to cook over an open fire, read maps and take on responsibilities and learn how to work as a team.

Scout sections are called Troops and are split into Patrols.

We have two Scout Troops:

  • Purple Troop who meet on a Tuesday at 7.30pm until 9.15pm.
  • Silver troop who meet on a Friday at 7.30pm until 9.15pm.
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
