75th Anniversary Camp

From our Group Scout Leader...

WOW!! - I am almost lost for words to describe how I feel!

What a weekend. I have never been so impressed with the way in which we pulled together and made it happen. 107 young people from our group out of 130 for a weekend camp using our HQ, our tents, our ideas and help from our district.

Without the hard work we all put in it would never have happened.

A massive thank you to everyone, parents for the help with putting up / taking down of the tents, the section leaders for their help during the weekend, the QM team for prepping all the kit and being on hand throughout the weekend.

Tigris Service Team, for doing the catering, cake and all round help.

Steph - She put's up with a lot, especially over the last few weeks as we built up to the camp and I decided I needed a break in hospital.

A special thanks to the "pinkies". This group have spent since January planning, organising, arguing, researching, begging, pleading and losing sleep to pull this off. You are all amazing!

TNT - The note taker. I have said it already about Mrs Street - She managed to keep us all in line, do the paperwork and look after cedar colony. Thank you!

I know I have not mentioned many people specifically, there are so many of you. But thank you.

I have had some special comments made to me by various old and young members of the group and district,

4WP 75th Anniversary Camp"I have not seen this field like this for 40 years" - A Fellowship Member

"Will I see my big friend from the explorers again?" - A Beaver

"Excellent, Well done to you and your group" - District Commissioner

"Very impressed, Very well done to you and your team" - Group President

"Thank you so much for letting me be a small part of your camp this week end. What a fantastic bunch of young people and leaders / helpers you have. You should be very proud of them all. They obviously think the world of you - and it was a pleasure and a privilege to be involved. Your young people do you proud." - District Member

We have truly shown what 4th Worcester Park is capable of, we are a big group with some big ideas and big characters, most of all we have big numbers of young people who went back to School on Monday and told their mates what they had done and how much fun they had! We need to continue to spread the word about Scouting and what we can offer. Events like this camp are what we are about and long may it continue.

Please pass this onto any leaders in your sections who I may have missed.

Thanks again

From a very humbled and very proud Group Scout Leader!!!

From our Group Quartermaster...

A big thank you for all the help from parents, friends, leaders, fellowship and camp management team. Everyone worked hard and we erected over 20 tents for the group camp.

Thanks also to everyone for a great weekend at the Group camp, it was good to see so many parents help pack up. We were so lucky with the weather, that much wet canvas would have been a nightmare!
